As data acquisition systems become more sophisticated and information is readily available in digital formats, it is easy to find yourself overloaded. ILI ’s wellsite and office based engineers are highly trained, experienced individuals that convert numbers into solid recommendations designed to improve drilling performance, reduce costs and enhance formation evaluation.

The DOC is an expert in reviewing and processing data from multiple wells. They identify the best drilling practices based on offset drilling reports and wireline logs to provide the following:

• Decreased time and costs due to kicks or losses.
• Elimination of additional casing or linear strings.
• Improved average ROP.
• Increased opportunity for deep water targets.

Detailed field studies of multiple wells reveal characteristic depth specific hole problems. The identification of these issues is a fundamental step in the planning process for any successful drilling project (Figure 1 & 2 below).

Through detailed analysis of theoretical and actual hookload together with overpull the DOC can identify tight spots, sections that require backreaming, recommendations on trip, and short trip requirements (Figure 3 below).
