KEN BABCOCK, President and CEO; Houston, TX
Ken has 26 years of industry experience, serving as Director of Strategic Sales at Baker Hughes INTEQ and Vice President of Business Development at Noble Technology Services, prior to joining ILI. Ken began his career with EXLOG in 1980 after graduating from FSU with a Bachelors of Science degree in geology. He spent 5 years in the field as a logging geologist, a pressure engineer, data engineer, well site geologist and MWD operator. In 1986 he moved into sales and marketing and in 1991 was promoted to Region Manager, EXLOG North America. In 1992 he was named General Manager Worldwide MWD. He went on to hold various senior management positions with Baker Hughes INTEQ, both domestic and international, before joining ILI as President and COO in 2005.
ROGER RIVET, CFO; Houston, TX
Roger began his career in 1975 working for Stewart and Stevenson, Oilfield Division. In 1978 he joined the Baker Hughes organization and worked for 16 years in several senior roles in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. From April 1998 until September 2002, Roger served as EVP and Chief Financial Officer for Diamond Products International, Inc. In 2002, he worked for NQL Energy Services, Inc. as V.P. Operations Finance. Prior to joining ILI in January 2006, Roger has served as Senior Vice President- Finance and Administration for Integrated Production Services. He graduated with a BBA in Accounting from Sam Houston State University in 1975 and obtained his Certified Public Accounting certificate in 1986.
BRUCE HENDERSON, Vice President - Operations; Houston, TX
Bruce began his career with EXLOG in 1974, working internationally as a logging geologist, data engineer, drilling engineer (Shell), operations geologist (Exxon Mobil), country manager (Indonesia) and then in senior management positions for Baker Hughes including Manager-North America (EXLOG/Baker Directional Services); Director of Operations-North America and Eastern Hemisphere( Baker Hughes Drilling Systems) and Director of Marketing-Horizontal Drilling (Eastman Christensen). He joined Western Atlas in 1991 as MWD Operations Manager, then promoted to Manager, Integrated Services. In 1999, he became President and CEO of SmarTract, a start-up downhole robot company acquired by The Expro Group in 2004. Bruce joined ILI in 2005 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and Biochemistry from University of St. Andrews, U.K. and an executive MBA from Houston Baptist University, Houston.
DAVID J. TONNER, Vice President - Sales; Houston, TX
David Tonner brings with him 17 years experience in the oil and gas industry. Mr. Tonner is a graduate of Nottingham University, UK in Geological Sciences. He began his career with Geoservices working in Africa, The Middle East and the UK. In 1991 he joined Datalog and provided his services in both North America as well as various locations in Europe. From 1992 to 2000 Dave established Datalog’s business throughout Latin America holding positions of operations manager, country manager and regional manager .In 2000 Dave was promoted to Vice-President Global Sales and Marketing and moved to Houston. In that period Dave opened up key markets in China, Middle East and North Sea. In 2005 Dave became Senior Vice President of the Information solutions group providing diversified oilfield services to the global E & P market.. In 2006 Dave accepted the position of Vice President of Sales for the Merged Mudlogging entities of Datalog and International Logging.
GORDON MARSHALL , Controller; Europe, Africa and Middle East
Gordon studied Accountancy & Finance followed by 4 years at BDO Binder Hamlyn Chartered Accountants. He then worked for various companies in the UK in both the Manufacturing & Leisure sectors as Financial Controller from 1977 to 1984. This was followed by a 13 year period in the Construction Industry working for a regional construction company based in the South West of England as Finance Director. In 1997 he joined Datalog.
GARETH HOPKINS, Regional Vice President; Latin America
Gareth has 16 years of management and operations experience with Baker Hughes Inteq. He held positions in information technology, logistics, marketing and client liaison, and general management in the UK, Norway, Canada, Colombia, Argentina and Brazil. Since joining International Logging in October of 1997 Gareth has served as the Vice President & General Manager for South America. He ran ILI’s operations in Venezuela from October 1997 until January of 2000. From January of 2000 Gareth has run operations in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Gareth holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from London University.
FELIX VOWLES , Regional Vice President; EAME
Felix received his B.Sc. Geology from the University of Birmingham in 1991 and continued in Postgraduate Drilling & production Engineering, Scotia Aberdeen, 1992. He joined Smedvig Drilling Contractors as Trainee Drilling Engineer, then on to Schlumberger Anadrill as Trainee Mudlogging/MWD Engineer before joining Datalog as Mudlogging Engineer in April 1993. Felix was promoted to Regional Sales Engineer in 1994, Regional Sales Manager EAA in 1996 and Regional Manager EAA in 2004. He is presently Regional Vice President—EAME.
LOW KIAN WHAT, Regional Vice President; Asia Pacific South
Low began working as a Mud Logging Geologist for Exploration Logging International in 1987. From 1987 to 1994 Low worked on projects throughout South East Asia & PNG. He joined International Logging in 1994 as a Senior Pressure Engineer and worked on projects predominantly in Malaysia. In 1996 he was named Operations Manager to take care of operations in Malaysia & Thailand. In late 1999 International Logging was awarded the largest contract for Mud Logging Services to provide services to Petronas-Carigali and Shell Malaysia for a five year period. Low is currently directing over 80 logging geologists for operations in Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan and Turkmenistan. His contribution is tremendous in the field of Wellsite Geologist and Geopressure Prediction Consultancy by successfully developing programs to enrich mud logging services, thus brought benefits to company & all the employees . Low holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Poona in Poona, India.
ALAN MORRISON , Regional Vice President; Asia Pacific North
Alan started his career with EXLOG in 1980 working predominantly in South East Asia as a Mud Logging geologist. He worked his way up the ranks and worked as a well site geologist in various Southeast Asian countries including Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia since 1984. He has also held positions as a Wellsite Petroleum Engineer for Shell and as Operations Geologist for Santa Fe Energy, Premier Oil Natuna, ARCO, and Lasmo. In 1988 he joined a group of geologists to form KANA Consulting providing Consulting Services to various clients throughout South East Asia. In November of 1999 Alan joined International Logging as Vice President & General Manager for South East Asia. Alan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and Geography from University of Luton, U.K. Outside of the office his interests are primarily fishing and rugby - the latter as a spectator not a player.
